advanced facer-canceler

advanced facer-canceler (AFC)  - A machine that faces, cancels, and sorts incoming letter-size mail to one of seven stackers (bins). Depending on the type of mail, the sorted letters are taken to an optical character reader, barcode sorter, or multiposition letter sorting machine for further processing.
